ZMB – LINEAR DRIVE SYSTEM WITH LINEAR MOTOR

Linear motors have been deployed successfully for many years in the Hi-Tech arena and in many custom situations. ZMB, with its particular experience in building motors and with linear propulsion, has all the right ingredients for the integration of this knowledge. Used throughout the rotary motion sector, direct propulsion already proved itself long before and is an established machine tool technology.

In the application of linear motors, there are several questions which need constructive solutions. With the competence already described, ZMB has developed a product range with integrated linear motors and the following significant product features:

ZOLLERN-DURO 3

ZOLLERN-DURO 3 dense chrome plate with technical advantages:

  • ZOLLERN-DURO 3 is produced with a special plating bath process which gives a napped finish to the chrome deposit to give excellent stick / slip and anti-friction properties.
  • The deposited layer has no micro cracks or fissures, providing very good corrosion resistance up to 120 hours SS DIN 50021 when tested in a salt-spray test.
  • The wear resistance is 3 times higher than that of conventional hard chrome. This has been proved with life endurance tests with linear bearings.
  • The economical layer thicknesses are between 2 - 5 mm, this avoids build of chrome deposit at machined edges.
  • The surface hardness of ZOLLERN-DURO 3 is up to 1300 HV.

Usage of ZOLLERN-DURO 3:

Rail guides
Machined steel profiles, i.e. for textile machines etc..
Parts with finished dimensions can be coated without no further finishing being required.
