Our Transmission technology business unit specializes in the product groups slide bearings, gears and winches according to customer specification, as well as linear elements for automation technology, and we already have 30 years history of manufacturing the planetary gear boxes, also with the full experience of manufacturing the gear boxes. Zollern is a famous gear boxes producer in Europe; it is also one of the unusual special planetary gear boxes producers in the world.

1708 Zollern GmbH & Co KG was founded in 1708, headquarter of the company was located in Baden-Wuerttemberg Germany. Zollern is a family business since the foundation.
1997 In views of both self development and rapid development of China’s economy, Zollern (Tianjin) Reducer Co., Ltd,wholely owned by Germany was established in July 1997 in TEDA to meet the demands of domestic customers. Our company was then located in No. 67 Muning Rd.
2002 Zollern (Tianjin) Reducer Co., Ltd moved into No.33, the Seventh Avenue in Oct 2002. Staff expands from 4 to 20 and annual output value increases from 500 000 to almost 18.5 million with nearly 50 million gross output value.
2005 In the year 2005, we changed our name Zollern (Tianjin) Machinery Co., Ltd, with staff numbers expanding from 20 to 78. Meanwhile our gross output value has accomplished more than 200 million.
2009 With the efforts of all of our staff, our contract amount increases 171% every year. By the end of 2009, we have already reach 1 billion annual sales amount. Now Zollern Tianjin company is located in NO.79 11th Avenue, covering an area 30000 square meters, with 20000 m2 of workshops and 5000 m2 of logistic area. Our team now is consisted of 50 sales person, 30 senior technical members, 14 QM engineers, 70 technical workers, etc, 270 in all.
The Founder

In 1708, Prince Meinrad II. (1689 – 1715) built an iron smelting works in Laucher-
thal. Now the ZOLLERN group is headquartered there. 

It employs more than 3,000 people at seven company sites around the world.

Today, Prince Karl Friedrich von Hohenzollern, represents the tenth generation of the von Hohenzollern family that owns the company. He is Chairman of the Advisory Board.
