The newly developed electric drive rope winch by ZOLLERN is employed for the first time as part of a high-ly sophisticated mobile drilling system used to drill down to a depth of 5 kilometres for gas resources. For the first time, ZOLLERN here uses an asynchronous motor de-veloped in-house and specially designed to meet the performance requirements of the rope winch. By includ-ing their own drive unit and gearbox, ZOLLERN are en-suring that all the core components for the new compact electric winch will be provided by the expertise of the Group and are thereby enabling customised solutions for special customer applications.
24.05.2012Since ZOLLERN launched its torque motors at the beginning of the previous year, they have established a considerable market position. Currently 500 motors per year leave the German manufacturing plant in Aulendorf (Baden-Württemberg). The latest project is a motor 2 meters in size for a Chinese mechanical engineering firm.
19.01.2012The ZOLLERN group, with headquarters in Sigmaringendorf-Laucherthal, Germany, has acquired its former competitor Eurocast B.V., based in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands, as of the purchase price payment in August. This indicates a further expansion of ZOLLERN's competitive position in the field of investment casting for high-tech applications.
