Casting and forging have a long tradition at ZOLLERN, and can be traced back directly to the origins of the company over 300 years ago. Since then, the range of processes has increased enormously so that today's manufacturing processes include

  • Investment casting – open and under vacuum

These developments were accompanied by a huge increase in the materials available. Today, many markets are supplied with foundry and forged products made from approximately 700 different alloys. Companies from the automobile industry, air and space travel, ship and machine construction, electrical engineering and energy generation are among the list of customers.

ZOLLERN takes over Eurocast business

The ZOLLERN group, with headquarters in Sigmaringendorf-Laucherthal, Germany, has acquired its former competitor Eurocast B.V., based in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands, as of the purchase price payment in August. This indicates a further expansion of ZOLLERN's competitive position in the field of investment casting for high-tech applications.

BMW enters Superbike WC 2011 with lightweight-construction part from ZOLLERN.

ZOLLERN makes BMW lightweight-construction rear swing fork for 2011 Superbike World Championship. Development by BMW in cooperation with alpha Racing and EDAG plus manufacturing by ZOLLERN in just four months.

ZOLLERN awarded as top supplier of the energy sector

The world leading energy technology company Areva awarded its first “Top Supplier” prize. Areva, which employs 75,000 people in the nuclear energy and renewable energy sectors, wanted to recognise its best supplier from the preceding business year with this award.
